Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am a first year teacher and school hasn't started yet, but I will be able to meet my first group of students in September. This year I will be teaching somewhere in between 25-35 grade three students. The school where I am teaching has a very high ESOL population and English is a lot of students second language.
Through my teaching processes and classroom management, I imagine my students will be a group that encourages learning and new ideas, respects one another, and tries their best in all circumstances.
My Project
Being a first year teacher, I am very short of books for students. This classroom library donation will allow my students to be able to enjoy reading in the classroom through a variety of book titles and genres.
My students will use this classroom library for silent reading and reading groups in the classroom.
My students will be able to use and read these books to complete different ELA projects and activities like book studies. In addition, I will be able to use these books to model exceptional writing, identify parts of speech, and expand on other ELA components during lessons or in reading groups.
