Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are a student-centered classroom that is excited to take large leaps this school year! A typical day in my classroom revolves around hands-on activities and exploration for students to engage and grow independently.

100% of my third-grade students are ESL and come from a Title I community (82% of our students are free or reduced-price lunch.)

Our students are very motivated and hard-working, which makes coming to work every day an exciting adventure. As a very ethnically diverse school in New York City, our students have a variety of cultural and economic backgrounds. Our students have a thirst for learning, and I aim to provide each child with the tools they need to be successful!

My Project

Thank you for considering a donation to my third-grade classroom! The table will be used to work in small groups to promote deeper learning! With an ESL provider pushing into our classroom daily, students will have a comfortable location to work closely with their multiple teachers.

We will use all of the school supplies to feel successful and prepared for a new school year, as many students come without necessary materials.

Folders, labels, pencils and more will allow students to complete homework and classwork seamlessly.

Cleaning supplies will be used to maintain a safe and clean environment. I strive for students to have a classroom that is like home, where the remaining school supplies will allow me to prepare the classroom for the student's​ exciting return!
