Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are all smart, capable and extremely curious about science!! They range between grades Kindergarten through Fifth and are busy learning about a variety of science content from big things such as outer space to the smallest piece of matter and all of the things in between!

They aspire to think outside the box, and their thirst for knowledge is truly admirable!

I feel that every child should get the same opportunities to shine, and my students deserve that opportunity as well! As many come from low income homes, it is difficult for the families to afford even the smallest amount. Please help me help my students!

My Project

During the next few weeks, students in grades 3-5 will be working on their very own Science Fair research project. They will be required to follow the Scientific Method in order to properly conduct their experiments. Upon completion of their experiments, the students will be asked to present their research and findings in a visual way which shows a clear step by step description of what they did. The students will present their experiments to many people and will have various discussions with judges who will be walking around evaluating each project.

For the purpose of this project, I think it would be amazing for my students to actually have a nice size tri-fold board they could use to present their hard work!

The tri-fold board would be used to visually explain what they did and what they found when doing their own experiments. I think receiving a new tri-fold board would be a great motivation for my students to do the best they can!
