Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The 2021-2022 year will be back in school full time! For most of my students, this will be their first year of school, so my job is to make it the best. Every student also qualifies for free breakfast and lunch every day. My school is full of great students, parents, teachers, staff, and administration. We work together to make sure each child is getting the best education they can! We all become family at our school!

My Project

So far this year, we have gone through lots of dry erase markers and erasers that disappear. We use the dry markers and erasers daily while learning math, reading, or writing skills.

Masks are still needed for kids and teachers.

Wearing masks is part of our new normal right now, and having cute designs on their kid masks make them feel better about them wearing them. During the day, their masks may get wet or fall down outside, so having more on hand is key during these times. Also, having teacher masks for myself to make sure I have enough to wear daily. We staple a lot of things in kindergarten, from homework to little booklets, and my amazing stapler just broke! This stapler is easier to use and quicker to use when stapling assignments for the students.
