Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This year I will be teaching about 20 Kindergarten students, via in-person learning. I'm so excited to meet my Superhero Learners and begin the school year in a just a couple of weeks!

Kindergartners are such an exciting group of mixed interests, abilities, and goals.

Some of my students will be learning to read, write, and count, while some of their classmates will be learning to echo sounds or hold a pencil.

In this class, we will build a community around what we have in common and our shared experiences. We will also celebrate what makes each of us unique and special!

My Project

These learning materials will help set up my Kindergarten Superhero Learners for a successful school year!

Young students achieve greater success when the learning is hands-on and interactive.

Kindergartners use dry erase boards daily to engage in learning, and dry erase markers are always in demand. The thicker pencils allow smaller hands to learn how to properly hold a pencil and begin learning to form letters and numbers. Play doh is a teacher's (and student's) dream! Play doh is used in the classroom to help my Superheroes learn to form letters, numbers, and improve fine motor skills. Book baggies are always in high demand and allow students to borrow books from the classroom library and keep them safe while traveling to and from home.

Included on this wish list are some beginning of the year books to help us with social emotional learning and getting adjusted to a return to in-person learning. Additionally, as we get to learn about each other at the beginning of the school year, the multicultural crayons will allow each student to showcase their individuality.
