My Students

Do you remember the first time your eyes were opened to the digital world? Having access to digital content opens up doors to which my students may never have access.

My students represent a wide variety of economic, cultural, and academic backgrounds, and they attend an International Baccalaureate school in a vibrant, urban neighborhood.

Our school supports and challenges each student to reach his or her potential as a scholar and as a citizen of the world.

My Project

Kindle Fires in the classroom would have incredible educational value. First, students will be able to easily access a myriad of books tailored to their specific reading level and interest. Small groups will be able to access the same book and engage in book clubs and high-level discussions. In addition, students at our school our constantly researching to answer their own inquires. The limited resources in our classroom often stops those inquiries in their tracks. The Kindle Fires would allow students access to all of the information they need to appease their curiosities. Finally, students will have access to educational apps available on the Kindle Fire. These apps will enhance our students' learning experience.

Through these amazing tools, students will have greater access to books, ability to research, and use of educational apps.

The doors that these devices open will not only improve student achievement, but will also engage and inspire our students to be the best learners they can be.
