My Students

Chemistry is a science that describes the world of the very small. A world of atoms and compounds that you cannot see. One reason high school students find learning Chemistry difficult is because they cannot see what atoms and compounds are really doing!

My students are urban high school kids that hail from all corners of New York City and attend a school for the visual and performing arts.

Therefore, it proves to be quite challenging to steer their focus towards academic subjects, especially one as abstract as Chemistry.

My Project

Visual aids, such as The Chemistry Series DVD set, can help these creative and motivated students grasp what's going on in the world at the atomic level with clear animations and straight-forward narration. Students will gain a better understanding of how atoms move, what ions are, how compounds are formed, and how everything comes together to shape and govern the world in which we live.
