This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
In our classroom, we use read-aloud weekly to teach comprehension strategies, examine characters, and discuss story elements.
Currently, we read the book as a class, but I want to provide copies for my students to work within small groups.
This will allow them to dig deep into the text, to really examine the illustrations, and to find evidence to support their answers.
There is nothing better than having a book in your hands and flipping the pages, smelling the newness of it, and losing yourself in the text. Help me provide this for my class.
