Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school's Learning Lab is currently a popular hub of Graphic Novels, Comics, and literary classics. Students across grade levels often frequent the space, looking for a new novel to lose themselves in. The items on this list were inspired by the multiple requests made by dozens of students at our school. These books will help engage them by providing context for their classroom novels, graphic novel versions of classics, tools to help them focus, and books that will allow them to escape their current realities.

Our goal is to have at least each student find at least ONE new novel they will love and adore.

We feel we have curated a list of books that includes both the classics and newly released books that mirror them more closely. Our students are special in so many ways but we are most inspired by the way that they are motivated to crush their reading goal each month.
