My Project

I love the energy and enthusiasm my students bring to class every day. They are not afraid to take risks in our small reading groups. What makes them truly special is their unique personalities and the way they support one another, creating a classroom environment where everyone feels valued and encouraged to participate. They are constantly challenging themselves and each other to grow, which makes teaching them such a rewarding experience.

The specific resources I’m requesting, such as bean bags, squishies, and rewards, will make a big difference in their learning by helping create a comfortable, engaging, and motivating environment.

Bean bags will provide a cozy space for students to sit and focus on their reading. The flexible seating option allows them to feel more at ease, which can reduce distractions and help them concentrate better. It will also give them a sense of comfort and safety, which can increase their motivation.

Squishies are a fun and tactile way to help students manage stress and stay focused. These can improve their overall focus, allowing them to stay engaged in their books.

Rewards like stickers or small treats are a great way to reinforce positive behavior and accomplishments. They serve as tangible motivation for students to strive for their best, whether it's for academic achievements or displaying kindness and teamwork. Positive reinforcement helps build their self-confidence and encourages them to continue putting forth their best effort.

The goal of this project is to foster a more inclusive and supportive reading classroom environment where students feel comfortable and motivated to learn. By incorporating these resources, I aim to reduce stress, encourage focus, and celebrate their successes in a way that promotes a love for learning and reading.
