This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This year, "Leave your mark on the world," is the class motto in my "The Day You Begin" themed classroom.

I firmly believe these kids will leave their mark on the world.

My second-grade students are future world changers with an amazing set of skills. Within this group, you'll find the questioner with the power to inquire about anything and everything; the informer, who uses life experiences and book knowledge to keep us in the know; the reinforcer, who reminds us of content knowledge and connects it to the real world; the dreamer, who tells us about the endless possibilities; the captain, who keeps the class motivated and at times, in line; and a host of others, making them the most powerful team around.

My Project

In my classroom centers are a way of life. Students have centers for literacy, math, and even choice time. As amazing as centers may be academically, organizationally they are a bit challenging. I have taught my students that everything has a home, however, our centers need a little support, because not everything has a place to go. Please help us not only keep our supplies organized but also revamp some of our supplies to make centers more engaging. With the TPT gift card, I can purchase additional center worksheets and cards for our math and literacy centers. The magic boards will help for fact fluency centers and sight word centers and the scented markers will make our rainbow write centers more fun. With these additional tools not only will everything have a home, but my students will continue to find joy in learning through hands-on activities.
