My Project

I am a speech- language pathologist in a Title 1, urban school district. I work with students who have speech and language delays and disorders. The majority of them are in the early grades or special education classes; working on developing speech and language skills through literacy- based therapy.

These interactive and theme- based books are perfect for teaching expressive and receptive language, as well as beginning communication skills.

I will be able to develop speech and language therapy sessions using these books that target theme- specific vocabulary, spatial terms, embedded speech sounds, and early developing concepts. These are highly recommended by other speech- language pathologists to go hand- in- hand with theme- based speech and language units; so they will be perfect for addressing targeted skills and IEP goals.
