My Project

A Zen Den can be a powerful addition to our school offering students a place to reset, self-regulate and manage emotions. The sensory lights are great for helping students to calm down and refocus. The different types pf lights provide soothing visual stimulation, reduce anxiety and create a peaceful atmosphere. The different bean bags chairs provide cozy and fleixble seating to enable to students in feeling safe and comfortable while they look the lights and listen to calming sounds.

The students will be able to enhance their social emotional skills by reinforcing mindfulness, emotional well being, and build independence in recognizing these emotions.

A weighted blanket will also help provide the deep pressure they seek to feel secure. The tent will provide them some privacy and a place where they can hide and calm down.
