My Students

Each year I am scrounging for school supplies. If I see a paperclip in the hallway, I stop to pick it up! These classroom supplies are essential and are sadly not provided by the school. Most of the parents cannot afford to provide these supplies either.

I teach a class of innate social leaders in our Student Problem Identification and Resolution Improvement Team (S.P.I.R.I.T.) who are yearning to make a difference; however, they need basic supplies to help them create posters, fliers, and banners.

They are a group of diverse students who work at bettering the school.

My Project

Glasser said, "We Learn 10% of what we read, 20% of what we hear, 30% of what we see, 50% of what we see and hear, 70% of what we discuss, 80% of what we experience, 95% of what we teach others.” With this in mind, I have created lots of hands-on activities for my students. We can't print things because we have no ink, we can't save our projects because we have no USB memory drives, and we can't post fliers because we have no tape. We need ink, tape, and USB memory drives.

Bettering our school is our goal.

Without the necessary supplies, it is impossible. Improving our school is the whole point of the class. We can't properly save our projects or print them. So please help by getting us the proper tools to improve our school.
