Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This grade-level project will help our 2nd-grade students learn about Chinese culture. Most of our students are Hispanic children who have never traveled outside our town. My students must also learn to embrace and respect other cultures. Our district is trying to accomplish this goal by implementing the 17 sustainability goals. With this project, we will discuss why and how the Lunar New Year is celebrated.
Learning about other cultures will help my students.
I am requesting books, snacks, ribbon streamers, lanterns, and decorations to share with my students. The resources will genuinely enhance our classroom as we celebrate the Lunar New Year and embrace the diverse cultural traditions that make our world so rich.
