My Project

The Year of the Dragon brings special meaning for our school. In 2024, our school will be celebrating its 60th year. I would like to make the lunar new year a special celebration for my students.

In observance of the Chinese New Year, I would like to give my students the opportunity to experience the Asian cultural aspect of this special day.

Students will take home handheld fans and paint pretty flowers on it. I would love to give them fortune cookies to taste and open it for special messages. We will learn to play Chinese checkers and Chinese jump rope.

After reading about the emperor and his nightingale, we will decorate birdhouse to take home. Furthermore, our students will enjoy many wild birds that live at our school through bird feeder.
