My Students

My kindergarteners are a group of incredibly diverse, curious, and imaginative kids who deserve an educational experience to match. My students are inner city, high poverty students with ambition. I teach at a Title I school where 100 percent of students receive free breakfast and lunch.These amazing kids love to learn together and are a wonderful picture of what our world can be. Although my kids live in very different households, from motels to apartments, to homes, they come to our classroom every day as a stimulating environment in which they can reach their full potential.

They love to learn and I want to explore the opportunity by having all the necessary materials they need.My students come from different backgrounds and most of them aren't able to access the internet because of the lack of technology in the homes.

This would be amazing of I could get all of my students the same materials so no child is left behind.

My Project

This year, I have decided to implement a W.O.W binder which stands for We Organize Work. This binder is to be brought home and to school each and every day. I teach at a Title 1 school, so most of my students do not come to school with supplies. These binders will allow my students to keep track of the daily sheets passed out.Binders will help us organize all of our hard work and practice our organizational skills.These binders will allow my students to keep track of their work, and they will make it easier for notebook checks as well. My goal is to eliminate the frequent loss and clutter of the spell notebooks. This will also help me keep an open communication with my parents! My team and I discussed that the binders will better prepare the students for upper grades and will help them not only keep their work from getting lost, but they will be able to quickly organize their work. I will be able to quickly review their work as well.
