Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

The toner cartridges will help create colorful professional quality images and materials to enhance students’ projects as well as keep the students engaged while learning. Although my students are inquisitive and eager to learn, it is hard to compete with smart phones and colorful video games. That is why learning should be fun and engaging, especially if we want to grab the student's attention and keep it. Now that we have completed all of the required geometry curriculum, there is a need for tools that we do not have on hand for extension projects. To help my students dig hands-on geometry in class we toner for our classroom printer. Sometimes it is the simple things that can make the biggest difference in grabbing a student's attention and keep them involved. If I can use these colorful materials to reach a handful of students, it is worth the try!
