This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are learning about the world for the first time. They are exploring places that they have rarely been exposed to in their lives. How do I get children to feel like they are actually there? How do I make the experience real?

Children learn best when they become immersed in their learning.

A 3-D map and globe allows students have visual experiences while they are learning. When the learning becomes real to them, then they value the information more and retain it better.

Learning takes many forms and projects enable students to not only showcase their learning, but also to express their creativity. As a teacher, I embrace every chance I get to allow my students to express themselves and highlight their learning.
