There are approximately 200 instrumental music students this year in various instrumental music classes and ensembles. Beginning Strings class is a large class this year -- they are getting their first experiences with violins, violas, cellos, and basses. It's wonderful to see so many students taking beginning winds and experiencing the joys of learning a brass, wind, or percussion instrument for the very first time. Students who already have experience playing instrument music have the option to play in one of two bands or a string orchestra.
My Project
Our instruments need new strings. Worn-out strings don't sound great and can lead to poor technique.
String instruments need their strings regularly replaced as part of normal, periodic maintenance.
New strings help keep the instruments sounding good. And good-sounding instruments keep my students stay motivated and inspired.
Our violins, violas, cellos, and basses continually need new strings. Strings regularly break, go "false", unwind, or just become dull and stop ringing. Many of our instruments haven't had strings replaced in far too long. Thank you for helping us maintain our orchestral instruments in tip-top shape. We've got the world on a string!
