Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach math and science to 3rd-grade students at a Title I campus. My students love to learn new things; technology being number 1 on that list.

Most of my students are second language learners.

Ninety percent of the students receive free or reduced-price lunch.

Their parents work two and three jobs to take care of their children. They want their children to have so much more than they have. Education is extremely important. By sharing technology with my students, I show them that there is a future in education.

All children love to build things. Being able to take their drawings and make them 3D would bring on more engagement than you can imagine.

With a 3D printer, my students would be able to bring their imagination to life.

Last year, we got a small 3D printer. My students loved creating small figurines. We are now ready to create something bigger. Having this new, larger 3D printer will take STEAM to the next level. With everything that is going on in the world right now, teachers are doing everything they can to keep students engaged.
