Help me give my students brand new notebooks, folders, pens, pencils, and their very own journals!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students I teach are still enthusiastic, curious, and passionate about learning. My students have weathered 2 school years so far with pandemic restrictions in place, and are returning to the classroom for their 3rd year of pandemic-style learning. For many this will be their first time back in a classroom in 18 months.
Nearly all of the children I teach here at our Title I school in the inner city come from hard-working immigrant parents that strongly value education.
Although many of my students come from backgrounds of substantial economic hardship, you wouldn't know it by looking at their eager faces. They love coming to school and learning new things.
My Project
Do you remember that childhood feeling you had each year when all of your school supplies were fresh and new? Oh the wonder of enscribing your name on your new things! Well, it's a brand spanking new year which means I need some new supplies for this year's 5th grade class. With school starting in a couple of weeks, I hope to surprise each child with some supplies that they will cherish all year long.
We are beginning the 3rd year of pandemic-style learning and many children will be returning to the classroom for the first time in 18 months.
Big sturdy notebooks and journals are at the core of everything we do in the classroom. Both writers and visual thinkers need materials they can refer back to again and again. My burgeoning writers also appreciate a ready supply of good mechanical pencils and juicy pens so their words flow across the paper.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you in advance for the kind donations that will help to keep our little classroom in the big city afloat. We couldn't do it without you!
