This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a wonderful group of 4th graders! They are eager and motivated to learn! My goal is to create a safe and comfortable learning environment for my students to give the best that they possibly can, every day!

As a teacher, I try to always keep the compassion alive in me, especially for my students.

We see these children every day and sometimes don't know their struggles, their worries (tests can be a lot of pressure!), and there is no better way to connect with your students than understanding them. Doing so, I am learning on a daily basis that they need things that I cannot provide on my own. That is where generous donors from DonorsChoose.org come in--you make this a reality for them. My Project

It's cramped! This leaves them with a tiny space to keep their textbooks and materials. Not to mention, sitting in a chair all day long can be exhausting. We want our kids to enjoy learning, not dread it!

We are requesting three wobble seats.

With our new flexible seating, we can get rid of our desks and use tables and I will place their materials in their personalized bin for them to store when they are not in my classroom! However, I may not be able to convert the whole classroom into flexible seating but I want to start with one center, using 3 wobbles chairs.

The students and I together, have chosen the flexible seating that would help us the most. We choose 3 wobble seats because it is a more affordable and we get similar benefits of a balance ball! These will be used at tables where students will use them all day as well as during math and reading stations. With your contribution, you can help my fifty students have a comfortable, fun, innovative way to learn during our math stations!
