My Students

What was your favorite subject when you were in school? Our class voted at the beginning of the year and science was by far our favorite! Continued cuts to education have not only taken away funding, but also the time allotted in the day for science instruction and exploration.

Our class of future scientists is comprised of 14 boys and 4 girls who attend school in central Florida.

We love to be outside! Having class picnics and enjoying a good book together are our favorite outside activities. We are currently learning about our 5 senses and have been having fun exploring how we use our senses outdoors.

My Project

These science kits I am requesting will give our class the chance to practice and experiment with the science that we have read about in books. Not only do they provide our class with an engaging and hands-on learning experience but they are also aligned with our science curriculum standards. Plus, each kit comes "ready to use" so that we can maximize the time we have each day for science.

Miss H has been fortunate enough to have other science related projects funded in the past.

This year we began using the science kits from past years on the second week of school. The outcome was amazing! The students were not only exploring science but they were doing it in cooperative groups. These science kits have helped to teach more than just science, they have helped with social skills as well. The best part is that they can be used year after year and will help countless students.
