My Project

Our morning starts on the rug with a morning meeting. Students converse about things that are on their minds to prepare them for what they will learn. The rug is our starting point for each lesson. For example, our shared writing lesson takes place on the rug with students finishing a sentence stem. Even though we have a rug, it is rather small and students are crowded. The rug will give students more room to work.

These items will assist students in becoming lifelong learners who excel in reading and writing.

The students use clipboards on the rug to record modeled words they have created with a marker on chart paper. The whiteboards will encourage students to write letters with correct formation and save instructional time by avoiding getting out numerous supplies. The magnetic letters will give students the opportunity to manipulate letters to make words.
