This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a sweet group! They live in an area with an 85% poverty rate, yet they are very resilient. They love helping each other and serving others. Every day, they are engaged in lessons and love to ask intelligent questions. They add a lot of humor to my room, too!

They love reading, math, and playing sports outside.

They're always pushing themselves to expand their learning, which keeps me on my toes! They work hard and are going to be incredible future leaders of our world.

My Project

My students love playing sports outside. They especially love playing soccer, volleyball, and basketball. However, their activity level and enjoyment is diminished due to having little physical education equipment at our school site. Living in an impoverished area makes having what we need difficult.

The equipment in this project will allow my students to more effectively play sports, especially soccer and volleyball.

Having this equipment will boost my students' skill level and enjoyment of physical education. They will learn teamwork, sportsmanship, and camaraderie. Some of my students who will benefit the most are those who struggle academically. Participating in sports will build their confidence level and possibly open doors in their near and far future. Thank you for donating to our project!
