Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many classroom tools and learning devices require batteries, such as calculators, wireless mice, science kits, clocks, and even emergency flashlights. Having a variety on hand ensures that lessons and activities aren’t interrupted due to dead batteries.

Glow sticks can be used for fun, engaging activities, such as science experiments on chemiluminescence, reward incentives, classroom celebrations, or even safety purposes during field trips or emergency drills.

They are also great for activities like glow-in-the-dark reading nights or STEM projects.

Geodes make for a unique and educational reward. Students can break them open to discover beautiful crystals inside, sparking curiosity about geology and science while also serving as an incentive for good behavior or academic achievements. It also makes a great comparison when talking about value.

A solar-powered radio could be useful for emergency preparedness, particularly during severe weather or power outages. It can also be incorporated into science lessons about renewable energy, sustainability, and how solar power works in real-world applications and the economics of buying items.
