My Students

We have 100% of our students living in apartments. Providing Remote Learning on short notice has been challenging.

Most students only went home with notebooks since we all learned of schools being closed on a Saturday.

Oftentimes the supplies that come at the beginning of the year do not get replenished, and the burden is on teachers to restock to ensure that students have the best optimal learning experience with money being a concern for students. We appreciate what we get and don't get upset!

My Project

As a special educator and literacy coach, I value and rely on various tools to provide target lessons to students. I am very limited to paper and pen at home during distant learning.

I feel inadequate as it's been a struggle to instruct without my materials.

The magnetic letters and magnetic board as well as markers and word family cards are typical tools that I would use in the classroom daily. Having these tools will help motivate and encourage some normalcy in the Google Classroom. Thank you for your support!
