Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students are in a special day class with learning disabilities that challenge them everyday, however everyday they come with 100% effort. They will try multiple strategies, learning skills to support their development. They are hands-on learners, and project based learning is where they are the most successful. The project we will be working on the month of October is culturally relevant.

They will read about Pedro Linares, create their own art work (Alebrije) attached with a written essay & presentation.

Students will create an Alebrije out of dry clay and paint their clay models into exotic patterns and vibrant colors.
