My Project

Help my forensic science students build their own realistic, miniature crime scenes. The models are inspired by Francis Glessner Lee's Nutshell Studies of Unexplained Death, built in the 1940s and still used today as a training tool for homicide investigators. Students are required to build a realistic death scene and write an autopsy report for the decedent plus one additional forensic report that is relevant to their case. All project teams are required to work with at least one expert in the field, such as a medical examiner or forensic analyst, to help make their case scenario and report authentic.
