My Students

My students are my life! For me, making their lives better and more enriched is my passion! We live in the urban city of Charlotte, and I have students of every kind. The diversity is amazing. We have students of all races, religions, and socioeconomic statuses.

My students are scholars!

Often, I get visitors observing my class, and they see a variety of things happening such as me standing on desks, singing, dancing, experiments, stations, collaborative group work, or students teaching other students. My students have a thirst for knowledge, and they always strive to fly higher than the rest! We are Ravens!

My Project

I am a loud, fun, and exciting science teacher! I love to take science concepts and make them into song and dance for my students. It is also mandatory in my class that if you raise your hand to speak, you must stand up and be heard by all. This is a way for students to build confidence, speaking skills, and ownership for the questions and statements they make. Last year, I was diagnosed with a vocal cord issues, which if not alleviated would turn into vocal notes and surgery. Last school year, I used a speaker provided by the media center of our school to make myself and my students LOUD. I am requesting that you help me obtain a speaker for my classroom! At the end of the school year the speaker from the media center stopped working. I would like a speaker system that myself and my students can use to be heard in my classroom. So . . . I need your help to increase my sound of science!
