My Students

In a Montessori environment children need the sense of home. We cater the children's environment to make it feel like home away from home. Children have a sense of order at this age they need to touch, smell, and feel peaceful in their environment.

My Project

The children will be making music with the shakers and dance with scarves. Playing with these items will encourage the child to reach, move their arms across their body or play from one side of the body to the other promotes communication between those two sides of the brain. With time, the child will be able to do this spontaneously and the need to swap hands will reduce.

Music helps the child with rhythm and timing.

Music ignites all areas of child development and skills for school readiness, including intellectual, social-emotional, motor, language, and overall literacy. It helps the body and the mind work together. Exposing children to music during early development helps them learn the sounds and meanings of words.
