My students are curious little learners who are eager to learn to read and write. We have twenty students in our class and we are located in the heart of the Bay Area. Daily, I see them show up with smiles on their faces and ready for a new day of learning.
The perseverance within each of my students in truly amazing.
This is their first year back in school since distance learning and they are working hard to learn the skills that they may have missed out on while learning from home. Their positive attitudes and love for learning is what keeps me going on a daily basis.
My Project
My students are working very hard to learn how to read this year. We will use these books to build a classroom library. The students can also borrow these books and take them home. I want my students to have access to books that they are able to read in and out of the classroom.
The donations to this project will help my students feel successful at reading independently.
By having books that are on my students' reading levels, they will be more motivated to read. I have chosen books that will be of high interest of my students, so they will be engaged while reading. My goal is to foster a love of reading at a young age.
