Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our primary goals for this project are to:

Inspire Curiosity and Innovation: By exploring science, technology, engineering, art, and math through a real chicken coop, students will see STEAM principles in action.

This hands-on experience will nurture curiosity and creativity in a meaningful way.

The requested sensors and solar panels will enable students to monitor temperature, automate doors, and track egg production, while garden supplies will show how ecosystems can support each other. Each item is essential for turning abstract ideas into real-world applications.

Teach Sustainability and Responsibility: Students will learn about sustainable living by implementing energy-efficient designs, water purification, and more, demonstrating how STEAM can address real-world problems.

Foster Teamwork and Accountability: Working together to design and maintain the project will help students build teamwork skills and respect for each individual’s contributions.

My students are a diverse, creative, and enthusiastic group. They bring unique perspectives and strengths, which makes each learning experience richer. Their genuine excitement for animals and technology makes them perfect for a project like this. They thrive when they can engage deeply with subjects that interest them and make a positive impact. This project will give them an opportunity to develop new skills and discover their potential in a collaborative, hands-on setting.
