Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Most of my students come from single parent households. School is the solace where they can carve out their own space and build a new identity for themselves.
Dry erase boards help my students show how they processed the problems and support the articulation of their responses.
Dry erase boards are versatile in that students can make quick edits as they listen to the ideas of their classmates.
The most successful students utilize tools to find meaning in everything they encounter. English and Spanish dictionaries open new worlds for students by building onto their developing schema and helps interlock prior knowledge with information from home, schoolwork, television and the World Wide Web.
