Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

There are SO MANY benefits of growing plants in your room! Indoor plants have been linked to improved concentration and memory as well as a reduction in stress. Research has also linked indoor plants with increased productivity and reduced mental fatigue, all of which can be beneficial in the classroom environment. In addition, indoor plants cleanses the air within the classroom.

Help give my students indoor classroom plants so they can concentrate, learn, grow, and thrive!

Having plants not only will transform our classroom environment, but help my students learn! The plants in this project will not only help to brighten up the look of our school, but students will also conduct independent research and read about what it takes to care for house plants. Additionally, having these plants in our room will help create a pleasant environment.

Students will learn about each plant's individual needs and will also be responsible for ensuring plants have adequate water and sun needed to thrive.

The plants, potting soil, and gardening tools in this project will bring greenery and life into our space frequented daily by several students. Live plants will help ensure our space feels like a sanctuary.
