My students always look forward to lab days in Physics and IPC class. They come to class eager to learn and always ask for details about the next lab or project. They are eager to learn about how things work through experimentation with hands-on activities. I always strive to relate all of my teaching to real world applications to better prepare my students for the next stage of their lives.
My Project
These materials are used in my classroom labs very frequently to give my students hands-on experiences. This is my restocking list of items needed for an entire year of labs. In my Physics labs, I teach Science and Engineering concepts in order to encourage critical thinking amongst my students. In my classes, we design and we build! Typical projects include balloon cars, mousetrap cars, catapults, CO2 racers, egg drop packages, flying toy designer, hot air balloons, optics, bridges, towers, water rockets, model rockets, circuits, electric motors, electromagnets and so much more. My students are always excited to come to my class and the first thing they say is, "What do we get to do today?!"
