This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My Kindergarten students are so different in their personalities as well as their learning styles. For this reason, Guided Phonics is a great resource to teach reading to my students since I can differentiate my teaching based on student needs. The guides range in levels from students learning their letters to students who are reading and need to be challenged.

Each kit comes with the resources that I need to make it engaging when teaching reading in small groups.

I have been following and using the resources from the creator Tara West and have seen great results in my students by using her materials. I am excited to be able to have the guides and resources instead of printing them. This will save me time and I will be able to prepare for my groups faster and focus on my teaching.
