My Project

The Primary Reading and Biome Set will provide my 6-9 year old Montessori students access to a program rooted in Montessori Theory and the science of reading. They will be guided through a systematic, multi-sensory experience that will give them the skills needed to decode and become fluent readers. They will practice their new abilities within the Primary reading package and will apply their skills while learning about the land and biome our amazing world is created in.

This new material will replace an outdated and incomplete reading program with an engaging and complete reading experience for all students.

Additionally, this new program will provide students with engaging practice in complex texts to practice their newly acquired skills. This material will provide students a way to self-direct their learning while ensuring they are receiving lessons and tailored instruction in the exact area they are needing support on their path to becoming a fluent reader and knowledgable member of the greater community.
