Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember finding that thing that fueled your passion? That feeling you got from the anticipation and excitement from practice and competition. The life lessons and strategies that sports teaches you as young men and women. Help me give those experiences to my students.

My students are inquisitive, hard working kids and need the focus and discipline that wrestling develops in athletes.

Help me help them be better student and athletes.

My school is starting its Athletics program and being a Tittle I school where 87% of the students are on free and reduced lunch, funds are tight and donations are a huge help to funding our programs.

My Project

Wrestling is a sport where contact is in play and they need some protection for their ears. Without the headgear they can get cauliflower ear which could have lifetime health issues of its own. I want to give my students the ability to play this sport that helped me in life but not at the cost of their own health being affected. Getting these materials will not only make us look more professional but make the kids not feel left out when the other schools show up with head gear and everything. Help me give my kids the full wrestling experience like I had.
