My Project

I teach the class Personal Finance to 6th-12th graders who come from trauma and usually poverty. They do not have a lot of experience with money and in some cases how to manage their daily basic needs. Financial Literacy is a subject it is hard to find lessons for, especially things that are engaging and worthwhile. My goal is to create lessons using the requested games, workbooks, books, and play money that will teach my students financial lessons while also keeping them engaged and active. I hope my students leave my classroom with a sense of financial knowledge and an understanding of how important that is to their well-being.
