My Project

This project is geared towards helping to restock several key items with our tool shop as well as purchasing a much-needed shop vacuum. As the year goes on we use countless rolls of tape and batteries from closing up seams in our set pieces to ensuring that our wireless microphones are ready for a performance. These two items are unsung heroes of the technical theatre world and are vital to helping us create the wonderful shows that our audiences have come to expect from us. These will not only be used in productions but also used to help teach lessons on creating designs on flats and for helping to teach students the critical lesson of time management.

Using the tie line, I can teach them the various knots needed for rigging and hanging the myriad of flats and set pieces that are flown in the theatre.

As they master this content knowledge they will become more hireable for future careers in not only the Theater but film studios as well. These tools are helping to brown their horizons as young artists! My students constantly as amaze me with their creativity and how they continually take our productions to the next level.
