My Project

I seek funding to equip my classroom with essential furniture to create an inviting, engaging, and effective learning environment that will enhance hands-on instruction and help students develop self-sufficiency, with a focus on cooking, cleaning, and household management skills. Our students face unique challenges that make teaching life skills in a supportive and hands-on setting crucial. Many students at our school benefit from practical instruction in household management, which promotes independence and prepares them for adulthood. Unfortunately, our classroom lacks the necessary appliances and furniture to deliver a comprehensive Home Economics program.

Students can practice cooking, cleaning, and other essential tasks in a safe and familiar environment by equipping the classroom with the requested items.

These activities will foster their independence, social skills, and confidence.

Our goal is to allow students with special needs to learn essential household skills through hands-on instruction. We want to quip the classroom with the necessary furniture and appliances (bedside tables, lamps, and carpet) to create a comfortable, home-like environment that encourages teamwork and participation. Students will learn the purpose of items and how to clean them.
