My Students

Joyce Mayer once said, "A #2 pencil and a dream can take you anywhere." My students have the dream, but not the pencils or other supplies needed to be successful in school.

My students and I are tired of battling with the pencil sharpener and wasting time trying to sharpen cheap pencils!

The majority of our students are on the free and reduced lunch program. Despite the many challenges they face in their daily lives, my students are hard working and eager to learn. I don't want the lack of funding and school supplies to get in the way of their academic success.

My Project

I am asking for donations of the most basic school supplies: pencils and sharpeners. Each day my students tackle grade level reading and writing that can be challenging. By giving my students quality pencils - especially ones that don't break - they can focus on the learning task, not finding a sharp point!

I am constantly trying to eliminate distractions from my classroom.

A new pencil sharpener and pencils will make our day to day routine smoother. We won't have to worry about our pencil problem anymore!
