This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My name is Takiya St.Germain, and I am a Special Education teacher. I am writing to you with great enthusiasm and hope, seeking your support for a matter that is dear to my heart and crucial for the education of my students.

My school serves a diverse group of students, many of whom come from low-income families.

Despite their economic challenges, these students are incredibly motivated to learn and excel academically. However, one obstacle we face is the limited access to essential resources, particularly when it comes to printed materials.

In my classroom, we strive to provide a nurturing environment that fosters a love for learning. Unfortunately, the absence of a reliable copy machine and printer poses a significant hurdle in achieving this goal. Many of my students do not have the means to print classwork and homework assignments at home, placing them at a disadvantage compared to their peers who have easier access to printed materials.

By generously donating a copy machine and printer to our classroom, you would make an invaluable contribution to the educational journey of these students. Access to printed materials is not just about convenience; it is about leveling the playing field and ensuring that every student, regardless of their economic background, has an equal opportunity to succeed.

Your support would have a lasting impact on the academic achievements and overall well-being of my students. It would empower them to engage more actively with their coursework, complete assignments with confidence, and take an important step toward breaking the cycle of limited resources affecting their educational experience.
