My Students

My students have a big heart for learning! I work with over 76 students in K-5 reading intervention.

Whenever we take on something new, they're always willing to jump in feet first often teaching me to take risks, too.

Their love for learning inspires me to grow and learn right alongside them. Without my students, I would not be writing this grant today. Their continued passion makes me want to grow and learn, so I can help them meet their best potential.

My Project

Pictures speak louder than words! Wordless picture books provide an easy entry for readers to be the authors and illustrators of their very own stories. So many times we, as adults, forget just how vital pictures are to a story.

This grant will help over 75+ students K-5 develop vocabulary and oral language development, foster observation and critical thinking skills, build reading comprehension skills, enhance understanding of story elements and promote creativity and imagination.

The wordless picture books in this grant will be used in our reading intervention groups as a terrific springboard for talking about imagery, theme, and so much more. Thank you for your donations to our classroom, students, and school!
