This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are anxious to start on their exhibition projects about clean water. This mobile cart will allow them to use various methods to make contaminated water drinkable. At the end of the year, I want them to have the knowledge that could help make them feel proud of what they have learned.

My students are a group of 4th graders who are spending their final year at our school.

Our school is a Title 1 school nestled in the middle of a bustling community. The children thrive on being actively involved in their learning. We like for them to leave appreciating the planet that we share,and through science they can have fun while learning. Therefore, I want to have the knowledge that they can use to help make the world a better place. Science is such a connecting subject for them because of all of the hands-on activities that they can share as a group. They will be encouraged to share their science experiments with other children in the school and perhaps around the world.

My Project

My students will use the mobile lab table/cart to conduct various experiments in small groups. They will conduct various experiments based on what they need to survive based in various scenarios. For example, students will have to pretend that they are in a situation where they have no clean water to drink. They will work in small groups to research how they can make unclean water safe enough to drink. They will collect water from multiple sources and experiment on ways to make it drinkable. They will also be asked to bring water samples from home as well as research clean water in the city and throughout the world. They will then share this knowledge with the whole school. This knowledge could be valuable enough to impact lives.

This donation will bring STEM technology to our classroom and provoke students to thrust for knowledge to make a difference in the world around them.

This mobile table/cart will allow students to feel like real scientists working towards a real problem. The mobile cart will be a big hit among the students.
