My Students

I teach at a Title I K-8 span school in which all of our students receive free breakfast, lunch, and an after school meal. Our community consists of hard-working families who believe in the importance of education and support our school by volunteering, attending parent workshops, and donating school supplies as much as possible. My 25 energetic and motivated students come to school everyday ready to do their best.

Together, we are working to build a classroom community full of empathy, perseverance, and independence.

As a school, our mission is to instill a love of learning, build character, and give students the necessary skills to pursue their dreams. Our students understand that in order to succeed, you have to put in the work. Awesome Takes Practice!

My Project

My mission as an educator is to create a love of learning, foster student independence, and build a classroom culture of empathy and collaboration. These twin loungers would create a space where students can read and work together in partnerships.

Having a fun and comfortable place where partnerships can meet to share ideas, read together, and help each other would be amazing!

I am in the process of transitioning my traditional classroom of desks and chairs to one where students independently choose the best place to do their thinking work. Your support would help students learn to make good choices, share ideas with classmates, and love learning!
