This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"Teacher, I got it right!" My students know that the things that make us happy and united are the little moments of memories that we create in the classroom. Aside from all the challenges we face on a daily basis, my students know that one thing we can accomplish together is the ability to learn and grow academically.

They all have their different personalities, yet we become one in our room.

My students' neighborhood and environment, indeed, plays a major role in their actions/behavior. Predominately composed of blacks and Hispanics, my students lack several skills and/or resources that allows them to fully reach their academic potential. Nonetheless, we take it one day at a time and look forward to tomorrow.

My Project

Technology is making an impact in students' learning. However, it is not as effective in the classroom if the resources are scarce. By having Chromebook laptop in the classroom, my students will be exposed to different softwares/websites that will allow further understanding and retention of their curriculum demands.

Working in collaboration with others on a task is an inevitable skill that must be mastered.

Ergo, a class set is not necessary! By having two students share a single laptop, four students will be exposed to collaborative learning through technology. Sight words review, sentence reading, paragraph reading and checking for understanding in comprehension are some of the many possibilities my students will be able to soon explore.
