My Project

This year's summer Olympics is the perfect opportunity to integrate current events and real life, hands on learning. I would love to have the opportunity to do this in a second grade friendly (and fun) way!

I would love to purchase new books, potato and Olympic themed materials and craft materials to excite my second grade learners.

The materials will be used in all areas including, reading, math, science and social studies. We will study the history of the Olympics while creating our very own "potato participants" to compete in various events. We will track that data, read about the Olympics (and potatoes) create our own STEAM challenges, and write about the various events. This would be an amazing kick off to the new school year.
